A lot of rich families send their kids to Montessori schools, shop at Erewhon and go to meditation retreats. When you have all the money in the world you start looking at health as the next goal. It also helps that you're doing the same thing as everyone else around you so it serves as a class signal.

And don't forget that social media gives you a window to look outside your home when you're not allowed to leave. These execs send their kids to play in their garden but they don't let them go into a public park because that's where the poor people live. Expensive private schools that are the same quality as something half the price (or even a public school) because the exclusive price is the point. Isolation is the most important part of grooming.

It's not a weird angle but a "haven't caught on yet to what's happening" angle. I understand the article as trying to make the readers catch on to what's happening.
